Furniture for Resident Recreation Room

Mahjong, Bridge, Canasta — oh my! Our recreation room is a beloved gathering place where friendships are strengthened and fun is always on the agenda. But it’s not just about games: residents also enjoy cooking classes, art projects, and culinary tastings from around the world in this dynamic space. To support these enriching activities, we’re seeking to update the room with more comfortable and functional furniture: 3 long tables, 4 game tables, and 16 chairs. With your help, we can ensure this lively hub continues to be a welcoming, inspiring place for all.

Mezuzah Scrolls

Welcoming a new resident to Seacrest is a sacred moment. With your gift, we can provide kosher mezuzah scrolls for the doorways of 18 new residents, helping them fulfill the mitzvah of affixing a mezuzah as they settle into their new home. Each scroll is handwritten by a trained scribe and contains powerful verses from the Torah that bring blessing and protection. When a resident moves into Seacrest, Rabbi Yaffa-Shira assists residents in affixing a mezuzah to the door of their apartments and would like to provide kosher scrolls to those residents who desire it. Help us make it possible for our next cohort of new Seacrest Family members to honor this meaningful Jewish tradition and feel truly at home.
