Linda & Wayne Otchis
“Our involvement with Seacrest began 20 years ago when our mother, Lee Otchis, was searching for a new home in the San Diego area. From her very first visit, she fell in love with Seacrest, particularly the warm welcome she received from the friendly staff. The care and environment at Seacrest made the last 10 years of her life better than we could have ever imagined.
While there are many deserving nonprofit organizations, we chose Seacrest as our charity of choice because we are eternally grateful for the exceptional care and community it provided for our mom. The true value of Seacrest’s dedicated and compassionate staff was especially evident during the COVID-19 pandemic. When family visits were restricted, with only outdoor visits through plexiglass allowed, the staff truly became a surrogate family for the residents. It was heartwarming to witness their unwavering support.
As a longtime board member and now President of Seacrest Foundation, I was deeply involved and saw firsthand how the team came together to care for the residents. The residents, too, expressed their gratitude for the safety and security Seacrest provided, not only during the pandemic but always. United as a Seacrest family, we emerged from those dark times stronger than ever.
We are proud to support Seacrest and the wonderful service it provides to our seniors, and to leave a legacy for the future so that Seacrest can continue protecting and caring for the most vulnerable among us for generations to come.” ~ Linda & Wayne Otchis, 2024
